See an earmarked payment accepted, then refused
A guided demonstration, on an illustrative digital euro account and fictitious data. You see the rules that were set, a payment authorised, a payment blocked and the trace each one leaves. A MAP expert will get back to you, with no commitment.
- A funder pays a budget of €600.00 into the account of user 05, out of the €7,200.00 envelope of the Equipment 2026 MAP account. Every amount in this animation is an example.
- Six rules are written before the spend. Who: 12 designated employees. How much: €250.00 per operation. When: 1 March to 30 June. Where: France. With whom: the selected suppliers. How: online yes, withdrawals no.
- A payment of €120.00 is presented at a selected supplier: the six rules are met, the payment is accepted.
- A second payment of €120.00 is presented at a supplier outside the authorised area. It falls outside the frame set by the “where” rule: the payment is blocked before it is executed.
What we show
A rule, a payment, a proof
The demonstration follows an illustrative digital euro account from end to end. It serves to check that the digital euro account meets your need
The rules that were set
Who, when, how much, where and what for: authorised suppliers, geographic area, period, ceilings, online payment, cash withdrawals.
The accepted payment
A user pays an authorised supplier, with their universal payment card or a QR code. The operation is checked before execution, then authorised.
The refused payment
The same means of payment, an expense outside the rules of the digital euro account: the operation is blocked before execution, with the reason matching the rule applied.
The proof
Every payment is recorded on a tamper-proof blockchain: amount, supplier, date, rule applied. The funder sees the same line as the user.
Preparing the demonstration
Four elements are enough to tailor it
The questionnaire collects them in a few screens. The more the digital euro account envisaged is described, the closer the demonstration comes to your own situation
- The digital euro account envisaged
- Who funds it, who uses the funds, which expenses the digital euro account has to make it possible to pay for.
- The rules to see applied
- The suppliers, the area, the period and the ceilings you want to see working in front of you.
- The refusal to trigger
- The out-of-rules expense the demonstration has to block, so that the control is visible.
- What you want to see next
- What each role has to find afterwards, and the exports that are useful to your teams.
Fictitious data, on an illustrative account
A demonstration explains a mechanism. References are on the Case studies page, and commitments in the contract
- All the data is fictitious: user names, supplier identities and amounts are those of an illustrative account.
- Personal data stays off-chain, in systems where it can be rectified and erased.
- The proof covers the payment: amount, supplier, date, rule applied.
- The meeting is arranged directly with you, on a date that suits you.
- The price and the go-live lead time are settled when the digital euro account is prepared.
Go further
- Try the simulation : The earmarking simulation is freely accessible, with no prior request, on the Earmarking of uses page.
- How it works : The full circuit, from the collection of funds to the payment at the supplier, and then to the proof.
- See a real-life case : Mes Potos, the solidarity journey described by MAP, with what it covers and its proof on the blockchain.
